A small market held in Sakae.

A small market is held on the north side of Hisaya Odori Park on the 10th of every month. I visited it myself, so I’ll use photos to explain what the market is like.

Although it was a weekday, more than 20 shops had set up stalls that day. Perhaps because Christmas was approaching, a red carpet was laid out in the center. However, most of the visitors seemed to avoid walking on it.

As winter approaches, the number of shops selling winter clothing has been increasing.

There was a shop selling Mino ware, a type of pottery produced in the neighboring Gifu Prefecture. Mino ware is a well-known brand in Japan.

In addition to the shops I introduced, there were also food-related stalls, with tables and chairs set up so visitors could eat and drink within the market area. Since it’s held on the 10th of every month, consider visiting if it fits your schedule!
