A clean hotel located in an entertainment district, Sakae

If you’re staying around Sakae or Hisaya Odori, I recommend Travelodge Nagoya Sakae. It’s clean and located in a convenient area.

This hotel opened in February 2023. It’s still quite new, and the interior is clean and well-maintained. Since the hotel has many international guests, greetings in various languages are written on the walls.

The hotel lobby is fairly spacious, but there are many stored suitcases lined up. There are four sofas, making it feel like a lounge area as well.

The photo design on the lounge wall looks really cool—it features Nagoya Castle and the TV Tower.

The room also has a large mural of Nagoya covering an entire wall. The room has all the basic essentials you’d expect from a typical Japanese hotel—nothing more, nothing less.

Here are photos of the toilet and shower room. This hotel doesn’t have a bathtub, but I personally don’t mind. I think it won’t be an issue for most people.

Behind the elevator on the first floor of this hotel, there’s a small gym. To use it, you need to have proper gym shoes. Since I planned to work out, I brought the shoes I usually use at the gym. All the gym equipment is from Precor. The dumbbells, the dumbbell bench, and the cardio machines are all Precor-branded. I noticed that two dumbbells are missing from the dumbbell rack. I wonder if someone stole them…
