Poool: A Hidden Cafe with a Great View in The Landmark Nagoya Sakae
A new landmark has arrived in Nagoya. The Landmark Nagoya Sakae officially opened in June 2026, bringing new shopping, dining, and entertainment options to the heart of Sakae. Hidden inside this modern building is a stylish cafe called Poool, one of the city’s best-kept secrets.
Poool was previously located in Nadia Park but has recently relocated to its new home in The Landmark Nagoya Sakae. Although the cafe is located in a prime area, many visitors may walk right past it without noticing.
Finding the cafe is part of the adventure. To reach Poool, you need to use the elevator located at the entrance facing Nishiki Street. Because this entrance is not very noticeable, the cafe feels like a true hidden gem in the middle of downtown Nagoya.

I visited on a weekday afternoon. After taking the elevator to the 12th floor, I stepped out and immediately saw a Tully’s Coffee in front of me. From there, I climbed a short staircase to the 13th floor, where Poool is located.

The cafe has a modern and stylish atmosphere. It is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating options, including comfortable sofa seats. Most tables are equipped with power outlets, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cafe, making it an excellent place for remote work, studying, or simply relaxing with a coffee.

I ordered an iced cafe latte. One thing I liked was that customers can choose between light-roast and dark-roast coffee beans. I selected the dark-roast option, which had a rich and satisfying flavor.

For my seat, I chose a counter seat by the window. The view was fantastic, offering a panoramic look across Sakae and the surrounding cityscape. It was the perfect place to enjoy a coffee while watching the city below.
The cafe remained relatively quiet when I arrived, but around 3:00 p.m. more customers began to appear. Many were women chatting with friends and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

Overall, I was very impressed with Poool. The coffee was excellent, the interior was stylish, and the environment was comfortable. Thanks to its hidden entrance, the cafe feels less crowded than many other popular spots in Sakae. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful place to work on your laptop or simply want to enjoy a great view with a good cup of coffee, Poool is well worth a visit.
