I do not tell you but I will.
Nagoya has a own coffee shop culture and has many cafes but it is really hard to rest in cafes near Nagoya Station. Starbucks is full, and it is also hard to get a seat at other coffee chains. Becoming a cafe refugee (I do not know cafe refugee is correct English) is common in Japan’s big cities like Nagoya, and the same is true not only for people from over seas but also for Japanese people. I’ve lived in Nagoya for over 10 years, so I know where to find cafes in every corner of Nagoya Station area. Some of them are introduced in this article. If you search for “best cafe Nagoya” on Google, this article will be around 10th place. This is my most read English article. But there are other cafes, and the cafe I’m introducing this time is actually my most favorite cafe. I do not really want to tell you about it because I do not want to make this cafe too popular not to get seat. However I will introduce my best one on this page because it is really hard to access this page. The cafes I’m introducing this time perfectly meet my best cafe criteria, including atmosphere, amount of seating, rest room, taste of coffee and availability of power and WiFi. This cafe ‘s name is “Style Kitchen”.
About Style Kitchen
Style Kitchen is a cafe attached to Hotel Nikko Style, about a 10-minute walk from Nagoya Station. This cafe has quite a number of seats because it’s probably the hotel’s breakfast venue. It’s a little far from Nagoya Station, so there aren’t that many cafe time users.
There are bar counter type seats and sofa seats. There are also seats where you can work on your computer.
There is also free power supply and free Wi-Fi with password. Ask the staffs for the password.
The coffee is made with beans from Trunk Coffee, which is said to be the most delicious in Nagoya. It’s a light roasted type of coffee with a strong acidity.
So far, I have been praising this cafe highly, but I have some concerns. It means there may be a private event. In Japan, private parties are sometimes held in beautiful places like this. We won’t know if there’s a private event unless we call, and honestly it’s a hassle to check. In that case, it’s best to use the second floor of Terrace Nayabashi. You can definitely find a seat within a 5 minute walk from this cafe.
