Tenro-in Shoten is a book store located in Hisaya Odori Park, Sakae. This book store has a cafe where you can drink a cup of coffee and have a meal. Some tables have power outlets so you can work with a PC. Sometimes, some events are held at this cafe and at this time a little bit noisy but usually this is a really calm place so appropriate for work.
In Japan, many books stores are struggling to sell books because most customers buy digital books like kindle. In order to keep their customers, Tenroin bookstore not only sells books but also holds events and seminars. Unfortunately most events are for Japanese people in Japanese languages but you happen to see unique events in this cafe.

Located in northern part of Hisaya Odori Park, Tenroin cafe is really calm place and it is well known for one of the best view of TV tower. Locals including me love to see this and relaxed.
I sometimes go Tenroin cafe and love blogging. I sometimes go Tenroin cafe and love blogging. When I get tired of writing, I just see the beautiful view of the TV tower and Hisaya Odori Park.

This cafe is mainly for customers who read books and members of some events, therefore you should not expect a taste of coffee.
To tell you the truth, coffee is terrible and not worth drinking. I recommend you buy lemonade here especially in summer.
This cafe’s menu is written in Japanese but it does not matter to foreigners because the staff can speak plain English. Some of the menu here has quite a unique name. For example, the butter curry in the picture below is called “butte curry which ex-boy ex-boyfriend loved”.

I tried to eat it. Curry was really nice but rice was not good. Most Japanese people including me easily understand the subtle differences of cooked rice and this rice has been kept in the rice cooker for at least a day. Rice became too soft and its flavor was completely eradicated. However, as I said, this cafe is for people to read books so they do not need to focus on their meals.
I love to be here for my work and blogging. I hope everyone who read this blog can enjoy its relaxed atmosphere.
