BASE LAYER HOTEL

I heard that MAISON YWE had opened in Fushimi, Nagoya, so I went to check it out. It was a café with a great atmosphere—perfect for a date or a meal with friends. In this post, I’ll share photos and explain what the café was like.

The café is about a 10-minute walk from Fushimi Station. It’s located on the first floor of BASE LAYER HOTEL Nagoya. Both the hotel and the café opened on July 9, 2025. Since it just opened, there are fresh flower arrangements decorating the entrance.

As you enter the hotel, MAISON YWE is on the right. It has a stylish and sophisticated atmosphere.

This café seems to operate as a lunch spot, a café, and a bar. It has an elegant and stylish atmosphere. The background music matched the vibe of the space and was really cool.
When I visited around lunchtime on a weekday, there were about five groups of customers, so it wasn’t very crowded. I imagine it will be quite popular on weekends.
You can place your order by scanning a QR code.
Here’s a summary of the menu as of July 11, 2025. Please note that prices are subject to change due to market fluctuations, so use this as a reference only.

Since it was lunchtime and I was hungry, I ordered the Coconut Curry with Shrimp and Tomato, which came with a side salad.
The curry was rich and flavorful, with plenty of plump shrimp. The portion of rice was a bit on the smaller side, but still satisfying.
The salad was fresh and crisp, and also very tasty.
In addition to regular table seating, the café also has sofa seats and counter seats. If you’re coming alone, the counter seats make it a comfortable spot for solo visitors.
Even if you’re with a group of around five people, the sofa seating should work just fine.
Personally, as I mentioned at the beginning, I think this café is perfect for a date or a casual meal with friends.
