After the all-you-can-drink Starbucks service ended, it was time for all-you-can-eat curry.

Hotel Keihan Nagoya, once famous for its unlimited Starbucks drinks, has unfortunately ended that service in spring 2025.
But don’t worry—they’ve started something new!

Now it’s all-you-can-eat curry. For just 1,000 yen on weekday lunchtimes, you can enjoy unlimited servings of curry and salad. Great value for the price!

I went to check it out myself, so let me share what it was like.

Just a quick heads-up—this curry deal is only available on weekdays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with the last order at 1:00 PM. So don’t go too late!

Also, it’s cash only, so make sure to have some yen with you. You’ll pay at a small counter just to the left of the hotel front desk. It’s pretty easy to find once you’re there.

When I went, a Chinese guest was already there ahead of me, paying for their meal. Looks like the word is spreading!

Oh, and here’s a nice bonus—unlimited coffee and tea are also available!
For just an extra 200 yen, you get access to a self-serve coffee machine with unlimited refills. Not bad, right?

So I went for the full deal: 1,200 yen for all-you-can-eat curry and all-you-can-drink coffee. Totally worth it!

In the center of the dining area, the curry and salad are neatly arranged buffet-style.
The salad selection is fairly simple—not a huge variety, but that’s perfectly reasonable given the price.
For just 1,000 yen, it really feels more than sufficient.
Honestly, being able to enjoy this much food at such an affordable price is quite impressive.

Since I don’t usually get enough vegetables in my daily meals, I made sure to load up on cabbage, tomatoes, and onions for the sake of my health.

There are also some additional spices you can add to your curry.
I’ll mention more about the flavor later, but the curry itself isn’t too spicy—it has a mild, gentle taste.
So if you prefer something with more kick, those extra spices will come in handy.

京阪ホテルカレーサラリーマン

There were some international visitors, but since the hotel is located in Marunouchi’s financial district, as expected, most of the customers were office workers.
Young male salarymen seemed to come here when they want a hearty meal.

The curry changes daily, and on the day I visited, it was chicken curry.
It’s called “Madoi Curry,” a nostalgic-style curry made with vegetables, apples, and chutney for a subtle sweetness.

Apparently, Madoi Curry comes from a long-established Western-style restaurant in Kyoto. Even as a Japanese person, I hadn’t heard of it before. The restaurant is said to be near Kyoto University.

The curry was mildly spicy with a gentle flavor—less spicy than the curry served in Japanese elementary school lunches. I think even children could enjoy it.

As for the rice, it wasn’t particularly delicious. It seems like they use leftover rice from the hotel breakfast service… but well, considering it’s only 1,000 yen, you can’t expect too much!

京阪ホテルカレーサラダ

I went back for seconds and thirds so many times that my tray ended up a bit messy—sorry about that! Here’s a photo of the salad. Since I’m usually low on veggies, I just kept eating more and more.

Maybe this will help me get a bit healthier.

If you’re someone who likes to eat a lot of rice or prefers plenty of salad, this place is definitely worth checking out.
