New Coffee Stand in Mizuho-ku

I recently visited CREUE by OVERCOFFEE, a brand-new coffee stand that opened in Mizuho-ku, Nagoya, just a five-minute walk from Aratama-bashi Station. The shop sits along a main street, easy to spot but with a calm and stylish atmosphere once you step inside.

The space is small and cozy, with around six seats at the bar counter and two small tables. It’s not designed for large groups, but rather for people who want to quietly enjoy a good cup of coffee.

What makes this place special is its hand drip coffee. Customers can choose from different beans and roast levels, making each cup a personal experience. Prices start at around 700 yen per cup, which is on the higher side, but the quality and care behind each brew make it worth it.

I went on a Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. Surprisingly, there was only one other customer at the time—a friendly lady in her sixties who was chatting comfortably with the barista. The barista was engaging and skilled at conversation, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Listening to their exchange, I got the sense that CREUE is gradually becoming a neighborhood favorite among locals.

From what I heard, the shop tends to be busier in the mornings and in the early evening when people stop by after work. For me, though, it felt like the perfect place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee on a weekend afternoon.
