“Market Street” is a cafe and restaurant in the entrance of Hotel ibis Styles Nagoya. This cafe is a little bit far from Nagoya station about 15 minutes walk. Therefore, it is a really calm and relaxing place. The area where this cafe stands is called Yanagibashi(柳橋) which is well known for the locals as a fish market like “Tsukiji Tokyo”.
Nagoya city wants to make this area as one of the sightseeing spots in Nagoya whose reputation is ”boring” and is trying to make subway station around here for tourists. However, quite long discussions have been made and have not reach decisions yet.

I went to this cafe at lunch time in November 2022. One of the restaurant’s recommendations for a lunch menu is hot pot that contains a lot of gradients from Yanagibashi Market but I ordered just a cup of illy coffee latte which is made from Arabica beans. Its aroma was really nice. My sheets had a power outlet and WiFi was available but I had to ask a cafe staff about passwords. I stayed there for three hours for work.
