First Look at BULB Yakimono-ten — A New Bakery Café in Nagoya’s Fushimi

A brand-new bakery café called BULB Yakimono-ten opened in Nagoya’s Fushimi district on November 11, 2025, so I stopped by around 3:00 p.m. on a weekday to see what the place is like. Since it had just opened, the entrance and interior were decorated with celebratory flower arrangements, giving the café that special “grand opening” atmosphere.

Although it’s a bakery café, there were only three types of bread available when I visited. A baker was busy kneading dough behind the counter, but it looked like they couldn’t keep up with the demand—probably because far more people visited during the first days than they expected.

Inside, the café has a stylish and colorful design. There’s a sleek counter table in the center and cozy sofa seating along the wall. In total, there seem to be about 30 seats, and the sofa seats even have power outlets, which is perfect if you need to charge your phone or get some quick work done.

From the limited bakery selection, I chose the cream-filled bread. The cream is made with eggs from a premium chicken brand produced in Okazaki City, which gives it a rich flavor. The bread itself was fluffy and soft, and together with a cup of hot cocoa, it made for a satisfying afternoon treat.
When I entered, a few customers were still inside, but by around 3:30 p.m., the café became completely empty—probably because almost no bread was left to sell. Still, Fushimi is a busy area with many cafés, and seats often fill up quickly. For that reason, BULB Yakimono-ten could be a great option when other cafés are crowded.
If you’re exploring Nagoya or simply need a quiet place to relax in Fushimi, this new café is worth keeping in mind—especially once their bread production catches up with demand.
