Cool Cafe near Hisaya Odori Park
ESPRIT is a bakery café with three locations in Gifu and Aichi Prefectures. This shop in Nagoya is the third one and opened in 2022.

It takes about five minutes to get there from Hisaya Odori Station. It’s a stylish café and tends to be quite busy on weekends. Since it stays open until around 8 p.m., they serve not only coffee but also alcoholic beverages.

As a bakery café, this place puts a strong focus on its bread. There are so many varieties that you’ll have a hard time choosing just one.

Their most popular item is the curry bread, so I went with that. For the second choice, I decided on a croissant. The cylindrical curry bread has a crispy outer layer while remaining soft and chewy on the inside. It’s generously filled with flavorful curry and tastes great. The croissant has a rich buttery aroma and is absolutely delicious.

I ordered their original blend coffee. While light roast coffee with a bright acidity is currently popular at trendy cafés in Nagoya, this one had a deeper, richer flavor by comparison.

The café has a spacious interior and also offers terrace seating. The décor is stylish and creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

There are also counter seats available, making it a good spot for solo visitors. These seats come with free power outlets.

The café has restrooms inside, so it’s possible to stay for an extended period if you’re working on a laptop. However, it’s best to avoid lingering too long when the café is crowded.
