I found a pancake restaurant in Osu Nagoya.
I was walking around Osu Shopping Street when I found a sign for a pancake restaurant. Osu Shopping Street, located next to Sakae, is a covered arcade street lined with various shops. It’s a town similar to Akihabara in Tokyo. For 1,000 yen, you can enjoy a thick, fluffy stack of three pancakes. So, I decided to go ahead and try the restaurant.
Since it was a weekday, there were only a few other customers besides me. It seems to be a popular restaurant, so I imagine it gets crowded on weekends. The interior of the restaurant is based on a green theme, creating a calm atmosphere. There are many potted plants placed throughout.
I ordered the 1,000 yen pancake that the restaurant recommended. Just like in the menu’s photo, it came with three thick pancakes. I often see meringue pancakes on Instagram, but this was my first time trying them. To be honest, they didn’t suit my taste. The meringue was a bit too much, and it felt a bit undercooked. I prefer regular pancakes.
