祝9000人! 名古屋の春と秋どっちが好きか海外の人にきいてみました

Spring or fall — which do you love more?

Nagoya explorersは英語を使うグループですのでメンバーへの問いかけも英語です。名古屋の春と名古屋の秋どちらが好きですか？と簡単な質問です。

今回は48人のメンバーから回答を頂きました。

皆さん春が好きなようです。春の桜や秋の紅葉の好きな場所をコメントしてくださる方もいました(以下)。

For Cherry blossoms, the shikizakura along the Hori River on both sides of the Nayabashi Bridge bloomed on December 30th and stayed in bloom for about six weeks.

Both sides of Mitsukora-dori in Sakae, on the west-side of Hisaya Odori Park, is lined with okamezakura – very deep pink cherry blossoms. they bloomed nearly three weeks ago and are pretty much done now – same for the kanzakura one block over on Shirikawa-dori, but a few of those are still in bloom at the base of Chubu Electric Mirai Tower in Hisaya Odori Park.

The best place right now is probably Okan Cherry Tree Road. Head out exit 2 from Takaoka Station, turn left (north) and you’re at the beginning of a stretch of 130+ early-blooming kanzakura trees.

My favorite autumn spots – specifically for red maple – were Shirotori Garden, Tokugawaen Garden and Higashiyama Botanical Garden. The Illuminations at Higashiyama Botanical Garden are spectacular!

If you don’t mind getting out of the city, Nababa no Sato, Korankei, and Obara are each all well worth a day trip. Korankei especially for the natural red maple tunnels and Obara for red maple and November-blooming cherry blossoms together.
